No Sky’s the limit

Sky’s ethos to ‘Believe in Better' is recognised by 20 million customers across five countries. With this in mind Sky has recently embarked upon a transformation project to unlock the true potential of their headquarters. With values that closely mirror our own, we knew that this was a client we would work well alongside, and when we were appointed to deliver this transformation project we got our chance to prove it.

The project consists of a 41,000 square metre mixed-use office and studio hub, a fully equipped health and fitness centre and a 3,600 square metre timber frame building that will become home to the Sky Academy.

Believe in a better way

With construction taking place in the midst of Sky’s fully operational headquarters, the project required extensive planning, particularly regarding logistics and noise. Speed and ease of construction were also of the utmost importance and to achieve this we prefabricated many elements to avoid the need for on-site construction.

The safest site

Sky shares our commitment to achieve the highest safety standards, and so making this the safest construction site ever known became a mantra echoed daily by the whole team. Sending everyone home healthy is equally as important, so to ensure maximum workforce engagement we installed industry-leading welfare facilities, and provided a range of health initiatives including a DIY health testing kit with advice and coaching.

Our pursuit to find a better way united with Sky’s desire to Believe in Better has resulted in a project like no other, setting a new standard where no Sky’s the limit.

“We are delighted to be working with Mace in the creation of three state-of-the-art buildings to promote the well-being, creativity and productivity of thousands of employees working at our Osterley HQ. We have worked closely with Mace to ensure that the new facilities have a positive impact on our people, our business and the local community and we look forward to the successful delivery of this project”
